Submission Guidelines

Manuscript Preparation

Submissions should be prepared in Microsoft Word, following a standard academic format. The manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Key requirements include:

• Language: All manuscripts must be submitted in English.
• Length: Articles should typically be between 4,000 and 7,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.
• Abstract: An abstract of 150-250 words is required, summarizing the study's purpose, methods, key findings, and implications.
• Keywords: Provide 4-6 keywords that accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.
• Formatting: The document should be double-spaced, using a 12-point Times New Roman font. All pages should be numbered consecutively.

Structure of the Article

Your manuscript should be structured as follows to maintain consistency and clarity:

1. Title Page: Including the article title, author(s) name(s), affiliation(s), and corresponding author's contact details.
2. Abstract and Keywords.
3. Introduction: Stating the problem, research questions, and significance of the study.
4. Literature Review: A comprehensive review of relevant scholarly work.
5. Methodology: A clear description of the research design, data collection, and analysis methods.
6. Results/Findings: A clear presentation of the research results.
7. Discussion: Interpretation of the findings and their implications.
8. Conclusion: Summarizing the key takeaways and suggesting areas for future research.
9. References.

Referencing Style

NJLIT adheres to the APA (7th edition) referencing style (e.g., Okpala, 2025). Citation should be embedded within the text (no footnotes or endnotes). Hyperlinks within the text are not encouraged but may appear when referencing web sources.

Open Access Policy & Publication Charges

NJLIT is committed to open access publishing. An Article Processing Fee of ₦5,000.00 must accompany the initial submission. A Publication Fee of ₦30,000.00 is payable upon acceptance of the manuscript. Authors must submit the revised version of their accepted article within one month after notification of acceptance.
